A look into recent filmmaking history this week, with a surreal Independent Short Film from 1997 called “Doodlebug” by Christopher Nolan. Of course, Nolan went on to direct Memento, Amnesia, Batman Begins, The Prestige and The Dark Knight .

This stop motion Independent Short Film is most impressive. The editing was done primarily in-camera, which takes a lot of effort to get right. The end result is both playful and entertaining.
