We’re really glad to have you here.
Providing a platform to showcase your Independent Short Film is simply a part of what we do. However, there are a couple of things you should know.
1. We like to maintain a family-friendly site. While we do sometimes showcase Independent Short Films with heavy themes, there’s a good chance that if your film is offensive, grotesque, demented or morose, it will probably not end up here, unless we think it’s EXCEPTIONALLY well-made and has a redeeming element. We’re not big on censorship, but we do have an idea of what our audience likes, and such films don’t qualify.
2. In addition to showcasing your film, we’d love to know more about you, and we created this nice interview form to help us with that. This gives you the highest likelihood of being featured, so please fill it out. It could very well be that we wish to contact you for a follow-up interview by telephone or skype, so please include your contact information.
3. We like quality films. We don’t like to judge submissions and tell filmmakers that their films aren’t of a high-enough caliber to be posted here, but if we get a film that looks like you shot it in an afternoon on your cell phone while jogging in place, it will probably get overlooked. However, we created a little loophole, which gives you some leeway, in the form of a multi-tier short film competition. We’re looking for prize sponsors, so in the meantime, please indicate whether or not you are willing to submit your short film for competition.
