Independent Short Film: Connected

Science-Fiction is a genre that suits independent short films really well. Three specific types of Science-Fiction Short Films I’ve frequently seen are Time Travel (see also the Independent Short Film La Jetée and this collection of time-travel-themed Independent Short Films), Dystopian Society (see also the Independent Short Films Four and Televisual Man), and Post-Apocalyptic (see also the Independent Short Films 9, La Jetée, Alive in Joburg, or just feel free to explore a bit on your own.)

This short film falls into the last category. What do you take away from it?

The idea is fantastic: Using each other for oxygen, every man for himself in this post apocalyptic world…
Great film making all around: stunning effects, a good length, and completely visual storytelling.
My only complaint is with the music; The western “showdown” guitar before the fight is almost comical, I'd personally rather hear something futuristic

Extremely creative! The suits were particularly interesting as they reminded me of the old diving suits and tube that connected to the surface. Mystery and suspense made this short film intriguing.
