Independent Short Film: Cardboard

September 17th, 2011

This Independent Short Film was recently brought to my attention, and while I’ve seen a few similar short films, (done with spraypaint, for example) I liked that this was done with cardboard cutouts.  I especially loved the soundtrack, and I really enjoy anything bizzare or surreal, so I just had to put it up here.  Happy viewing!

Whenever I see a stop-motion film I always wonder how much time it must have taken to make, no matter how simple the materials used.

Stop Motion is incredibly difficult to do well. I’ve seen plenty of BAD stop motion, and in fact, even this film is somewhat choppy (although I commend the filmmaker, because I don’t think I could do better). But when I find examples of smooth stop-motion, especially those with great attention to detail, I REALLY appreciate the effort that went into making something excellent.
