Independent Short Film: Gone Goodbye

I have to admit that I had this figured out from very early on, although that might be due to the thumbnail image. Clever wordplay, beautifully shot, and the colors of this independent short film are great. Fantastic use of filters and lenses.

Independent Short Film: Connected

Science-Fiction is a genre that suits independent short films really well. Three specific types of Science-Fiction Short Films I’ve frequently seen are Time Travel (see also the Independent Short Film La Jetée and this collection of time-travel-themed Independent Short Films), Dystopian Society (see also the Independent Short Films Four and Televisual Man), and Post-Apocalyptic (see also the Independent Short Films 9, La Jetée, Alive in Joburg, or just feel free to explore a bit on your own.)

This short film falls into the last category. What do you take away from it?

Independent Short Film: Destino

This Animated Short Film has become quite well known. If you are unfamiliar with it, you will note from the opening credits that it was a collaboration between surrealist painter Salvador Dali and animator Walt Disney. Production began in 1945 but the project was shelved indefinitely and all but forgotten. It was finally completed in 2003, combining traditional and digital animation techniques.
